Shusha: Representatives of the diplomatic corps visited the construction site of the New Shusha Mosque to review the ongoing efforts. Aydin Karimov, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, briefed the guests on the project.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, it was noted that President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation of the mosque in 2021. The mosque's design is shaped to symbolize the number 8, referring to Victory Day, the day Shusha was liberated from occupation, while its two minarets represent the number 11, corresponding to the month of the city's liberation. Each minaret will be 72 meters high.
