Direct Investments in Azerbaijan Reached $3.2 Billion in First Half of 2025

Baku: The volume of foreign direct investments entering the Azerbaijani economy in January-June 2025 amounted to approximately 3.2 billion US dollars, said Samir Nasirov, Head of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in the first half of the current year, Azerbaijan’s investments in foreign economies amounted to 3.4 billion US dollars. S. Nasirov highlighted that the countries making the most significant investments into the Azerbaijani economy include Great Britain with 806 million US dollars, Trkiye with 629 million US dollars, Cyprus with 353 million US dollars, Switzerland with 226 million US dollars, and Iran with 176 million US dollars.

In return, Azerbaijan invested a total of 1.349 billion US dollars in various international markets during the first six months of 2025. The largest recipients of Azerbaijani investments were Israel, receiving 542 million US dollars, and Trkiye, with 177 million US dollars. Other notable investments were made in the UAE (156 million US dollars), Georgia (77 million US dollars), and the United States (77 million US dollars).
