Yemen: Yemen is one of the most complex territories in terms of humanitarian security, stated Hala Al-Saleh, the Director of the Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen and Saudi Arabia, during an event titled 'Designing Development Programs in Conflict Zones' at WUF13, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Al-Saleh elaborated on the success of the Saudi Arabian model for stabilizing Yemen. The model focuses on restoring services in fragile environments, supporting communities, and contributing to gradual stability while addressing ongoing challenges. Saudi Arabia initiated a strategic plan in 2018 to operate in Yemen's unstable environment by collaborating with the Yemeni government. The initiative advances development alongside stability, ensures cross-sector integration, and forms effective local and international partnerships.

The program functions as a Southern Development and Reconstruction Program, having implemented over 300 projects across eight key sectors such as education, transport, energy, and agricultural efficiency. It has also established more than 40 international, local, and UN partnerships, with intervention activities spanning 16 governorates of Yemen.

A key aspect that distinguishes this program from other institutions is its integrated approach. It collaborates with the Yemeni government, international organizations, the United States, and civil society organizations. This unified development approach aims to expand the impact, increase efficiency, reduce duplicated activities, and strengthen trust between institutions and society.
