Donald Trump Invites Azerbaijan President to Join Gaza Board of Peace

Washington: The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has extended an invitation to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to participate in a new international effort aimed at establishing peace in the Middle East. This was communicated through a letter addressed by Trump to Aliyev, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Trump outlined the invitation within the context of a recently announced Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict. This plan, introduced on September 29th, 2025, is a 20-point roadmap that has garnered support from global leaders across the Arab world, Israel, and Europe. The United Nations Security Council further endorsed this initiative by adopting Resolution 2803 on November 17th, which supports the plan's vision.

The core of this plan is the formation of The Board of Peace, which Trump describes as a new international organization and transitional governing administration. The Board aims to unite distinguished nations committed to establishing lasting peace. Trump has invited Azerbaijan to join as a founding member state and become a part of this initiative.

The invitation to Azerbaijan includes the provision for the country to designate an authorized representative to participate in board meetings. The letter enclosed the Comprehensive Plan and the Board's Charter for Azerbaijan's consideration and ratification. Trump expressed his anticipation of collaborating with Azerbaijan in pursuit of long-term global peace and prosperity.
