Earthquake in Dagestan Poses No Threat to Azerbaijan, Says Director General

Baku: 'There is no danger for Azerbaijan from the earthquake that occurred in Dagestan,' Gurban Yetirmishli, the Director General of the Republican Seismic Survey Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), said in an interview with APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Yetirmishli emphasized that earthquakes occur almost daily in Azerbaijan, yet no strong earthquake is anticipated in any region. He noted that there were aftershocks of magnitude 1.2-1.3 in Dagestan, but none were felt in Azerbaijan.
