Earthquake Recorded in the Caspian Sea


Baku: An earthquake has been recorded in the Caspian Sea, Earthquake Research Bureau of the Republic Seismological Service Center told APA. It was reported that the tremor had a magnitude of 3.1 and occurred at 12:49 at a depth of 74 km.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the seismic activity was detected by the Republic Seismological Service Center’s monitoring systems. The earthquake’s epicenter was located within the Caspian Sea region, but there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties related to the event.
