Egypt on Sunday advanced to the Africa Cup of Nations semifinals after beating Morocco with a 2-1 score in the extra time, according to Anadolu Agency.

Morocco broke the deadlock with a penalty goal from Sofiane Boufal in minute six at Yaounde’s Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium.

Egypt, which have seven AFCON titles, will face five-time champions Cameroon in the semifinal on Feb. 3.

Cameroon is hosting the 33rd edition of Africa’s flagship competition held every two years. The final will take place at Yaounde’s Olembe Stadium on Feb.6.

Senegal beat Equatorial Guinea 3-1 on Sunday to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semifinals.

Senegal will play against Burkina Faso in the next round on Wednesday.
