Egypt: Egypt has thanked Azerbaijan for gas supplies, Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi stated during the ministerial-level plenary session held within the framework of the 31st Baku Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, natural gas continues to play an important role in the energy balance, and international cooperation in this field is of particular importance. K. Badawi expressed gratitude to SOCAR and Azerbaijan for their support in supplying gas to Egypt last summer, which was facilitated using existing infrastructure. These supplies were instrumental in providing gas to various sectors in Egypt.

K. Badawi also highlighted Egypt's efforts to expand regional cooperation in the energy sector. The country is actively working on new electricity interconnectors to enhance renewable energy exports to European markets.
