Washington: The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the Department of Energy has announced its forecast for global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons for 2026-2027, APA-Economics, citing the EIA's monthly report. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the EIA's monthly report, global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons in 2027 will average 105.64 million barrels, which is a reduction from the previous forecast of 106.16 million barrels. This figure represents an increase of 1.49 million barrels compared to the forecast for 2026. The EIA has also updated its forecast for global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons for 2026. The revised forecast indicates that the global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons will average 104.15 million barrels, which is a decrease of 0.41 million barrels from the previous forecast. It is noted that in 2025, global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons averaged 103.97 million barrels, marking an increase of 1.17 million barrels compared to the 2024 figur e of 102.8 million barrels.
