Election schedule for presidential and parliamentary elections kicks off in Türkiye

The election schedule for the presidential and parliamentary elections begins on Saturday in Türkiye, it will last until May 13, when a “day of silence” will be declared, APA reports citing TRT Haber.

The voting will take place on May 14, with a second round of presidential elections held on May 28 if necessary.

“The “Election schedule” was approved this week by the Supreme Election Council of Türkiye. According to the decision of the YSK, the nomination of presidential candidates will begin on March 19 and end on March 23 at 17:00 local time, the final list of candidates for the presidency will be published in the Official Gazette on March 31, and the propaganda period for the presidential election will start.”

The deadline for political parties to submit their candidate lists to the supreme election board will end on April 9, at 17:00 PM. Objections to be made will be decided by the high election board until 23.59 PM.
