Electricity tariff increased for cryptocurrency producer

Today’s decision of the Tariff (Price) Council in Azerbaijan revised the electricity tariff for cryptocurrency producers. Specifically – for “STDC” LLC, a resident of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park since 2017.

According to the decision, which will enter into force on July 1, the tariff for electricity consumption at night (from 22:00 to 08:00) has been increased from 5.8 to 7.5 gapiks, and during the daytime – from 2.8 to 3.5 gapik per 1 kW/hour.

For other large consumers (on average, no less than 5 million kW/hour per month), the tariff has not changed. The Tariff Council does not ground its decision in any way.

“STDC” LLC was established in 2016. The company does not report on its activities, including the volume of electricity consumption.
