Entrepreneurs of Russian region planning to conduct business mission to Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, The prospects for cooperation between Russia’s Kemerovo Region (Kuzbass), and Azerbaijan were discussed on Mar. 16 within the project of Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade titled “An Hour with the Trade Representative”, Trend reports citing the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

 

During the online meeting, Trade Representative of Russia in Azerbaijan Ruslan Mirsayapov talked about the areas of cooperation between the two countries, as well as about the barriers to promoting Russian products to the Azerbaijani market.

 

In turn, the Russian ministry said Kuzbass products enjoy a stable demand in Azerbaijan.

 

“Particular attention should be paid to optimizing logistics costs for the formation of a competitive price offer. The Russian Kemerovo Region’s exports to Azerbaijan in 2021 amounted to $23.5 million,” the ministry said.

 

Meanwhile, Deputy Director of the Center Ekaterina Vilchikova said the Kuzbass Export Support Center plans to conduct a face-to-face business mission to Azerbaijan for small and medium-sized businesses in the region in June 2022.
