“The Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict broke out after the collapse of the Soviet Union and lasted for almost 30 years. During those years, Armenia kept 20% of Azerbaijani territory under occupation. About one million Azerbaijanis were expelled from their homes. Thousands of people lost their lives. 4,000 Azerbaijanis went missing in the First Karabakh War. Their fate is still unknown,” said Former PM of Turkey Binali Yildirim during his speech at the 8th Global Baku Forum, APA reports.

Binali Yildirim noted that Azerbaijan itself implemented UN Security Council resolutions during the 44-day war.
