Ankara: "Trump has given us a separate promise on the F-35 issue," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated during a meeting with US President Donald Trump in Ankara, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Erdogan emphasized that the F-35 issue is not a new topic between Turkey and the United States. He mentioned that they had previously discussed the delivery of five aircraft. Erdogan expressed his belief that the discussions planned within the framework of the Leaders' Summit would reaffirm the promise related to the F-35s. He noted his confidence in Trump's commitment to his promises and anticipated a positive decision on the F-35 at the Leaders' Summit.
