Erdogan Thanks Azerbaijani President for Aid in Wildfire Crisis

ANKARA — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan publicly thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for his significant assistance in battling the wildfires in Trkiye. The expression of gratitude came during Erdogan’s national address following a recent Cabinet of Ministers meeting.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Erdogan highlighted the support from Azerbaijan in his speech. “I sincerely express gratitude to President of dear Azerbaijan, my dear brother Ilham Aliyev, with whom we move under a motto of ‘One Nation Two States’. My brother Ilham Aliyev has not only made a call but also provides strong support to Trkiye’s fight against wildfires by sending a BE-200 amphibious firefighter aircraft,” Erdogan stated.

The collaboration between Trkiye and Azerbaijan in emergency response underscores a deep-seated alliance underlined by the shared motto, reflecting both cultural and political solidarity.
