“We are also providing the necessary assistance for the evacuation of citizens of friendly and brotherly countries from Ukraine,” says Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, APA’s local bureau reports.

According to him, the process of evacuation of his country’s citizens from Ukraine is currently underway through Romanian territory.

So far, about 5,000 Turkish citizens have left Ukraine.
