The firefighting teams of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) have left for Turkey by plane to extinguish forest fires and prevent their further spread in accordance with the instruction of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

The flight is being carried out by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).

Azerbaijan’s deputy minister of emergency situations Etibar Mirzayev told journalists that 500 firefighters of the Ministry, helicopters, necessary equipment and supplies will arrive in fraternal country Turkey in a short time.
