The EU intends to contribute to building confidence between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielus Landsbergis said, Trend reports citing Georgian media.

Landsbergis made the statement at a press conference in Tbilisi.

According to him, the agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a very important step.

As Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg said in turn at a press conference, it is noteworthy that all parties understand that they need to resolve this issue, and for this process they need partners.

The EU is ready to do everything possible for this: “We had very intensive negotiations with Azerbaijan and Armenia. This visit confirmed our goal – to sow the first seeds of trust between the parties.”
