Brussels: The EU is poised to enhance its efforts in promoting connectivity and fostering full-fledged normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This development comes as Magdalena Grono, the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus, emphasized the EU's commitment to these goals during a recent visit to Azerbaijan, as reported by Trend News Agency.

According to Trend News Agency, Grono expressed her gratitude to Azerbaijani partners for the opportunity to visit the country. She led an EU delegation comprising colleagues from the European Commission and the European External Action Service (EEAS). Grono conveyed the EU's readiness to support various aspects of normalization, including the development of connectivity in the region.

During her visit, Grono also traveled to Nakhchivan, where she examined the existing transport infrastructure. This visit aimed to assess potential EU engagement in enhancing connectivity in the South Caucasus region.
