“The European Union has done much to reduce its dependence on Russian gas,” said EU Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson said during a telethon, APA reports citing RBCA Ukraine.

According to her, there are other countries in the market ready to cooperate.

“The European Commission recommends all EU members increase their efforts to reduce their energy dependence. We are looking for alternative routes for the supply of energy to our countries. Azerbaijan and other countries are examples in this regard.”
