Baku: The local office of Euronews television is starting its operations in Baku, APA reports. An opening ceremony of the Euronews office was held on this occasion, attended by media representatives, diplomats, and other guests.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Euronews Board Chairman Pedro Vargas David spoke at the event, highlighting that the media organization has maintained a balanced position towards Azerbaijan and faced pressure for this stance. He expressed satisfaction with the opening of the Baku office, which marks a significant step for the influential European media organization.

During the event, discussions were held on the prospects for future cooperation between Azerbaijan and Euronews. The opening ceremony also featured a cultural program, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Euronews was established on January 1, 1993, and the Baku office represents an expansion of its operations in the region.
