European TeamGym Championships in Azerbaijan’s Baku Crowns Swedish Gymnasts as Winners


Baku: The European TeamGym Championships wrapped up its exciting adult gymnasts’ competition in Baku, Azerbaijan, marking the event’s debut in the city. The Swedish team emerged victorious, leading the scoreboard with a remarkable performance.

According to Trend News Agency, the competition, held at the National Gymnastics Arena, showcased impressive displays from eight women’s teams on the second day. The teams competed in various segments including the TeamGym floor, acrobatic track, and mini-trampoline, which drew significant attention and showcased the athletes’ skills.

Sweden topped the leader board with a score of 53.950 points, securing their win in a closely contested tournament. Iceland followed closely, managing to secure a spot in the final stage with 53.250 points. Denmark was not far behind, amassing 51.200 points. Additionally, Norway, Great Britain, and Finland were in close contention, scoring 48.750, 48.550, and 47.900 points respectively.

ll level of the participating teams but also marked a significant moment for Baku, hosting this prestigious European event for the first time.
