Event Celebrating Heydar Aliyev’s 103rd Birth Anniversary Held in Romanian Senate

Bucharest: An event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of Heydar Aliyev's birth took place in the Romanian Senate, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania. The conference, titled "The Role of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani People Heydar Aliyev in Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Romania," gathered a diverse group of attendees to honor the legacy of the Azerbaijani leader.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the conference welcomed members of the Chamber of Deputies and the Romanian Senate, faction leaders from various political parties, and representatives from the Romanian Government. A member of the European Parliament elected from Romania also participated, alongside heads and representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Romania. The event was further attended by the management and employees of "SOCAR Petroleum SA," the Bucharest office of the "Yunus Emre" Institute, and the Turkish Businessmen's Association.

Public and political figures, members of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan in Romania, members of the Iranian Azerbaijani community, and Azerbaijani compatriots living and studying in Romania were present as well. The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Romania, followed by a moment of silence in remembrance of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.
