Event Marks 103rd Anniversary of Heydar Aliyev’s Birth in Romanian Senate

Bucharest: An event commemorating the 103rd anniversary of Heydar Aliyev's birth was held in the Romanian Senate, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania. The conference, titled "The Role of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani People Heydar Aliyev in Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Romania," highlighted the impact of Aliyev's leadership on bilateral relations between the two nations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event saw participation from members of Romania's Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, faction leaders of parliamentary parties, representatives of the Romanian Government, and a member of the European Parliament elected from Romania. Also present were heads and representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Romania, management and employees of "SOCAR Petroleum SA," the Bucharest office of the "Yunus Emre" Institute, the Turkish Businessmen's Association, public and political figures, members of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan in Romania, members of the Iranian Azerbaijani community, and Azerbaijani compatriots living and studying in Romania.

The conference began with the playing of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Romania, followed by a minute of silence in memory of Heydar Aliyev, honoring his legacy and contributions to strengthening the relations between Azerbaijan and Romania.
