New york: An agreement was reached on a five-year action plan at COP30, COP30 Executive Director Ana Toni announced during a panel session held as part of the Fourth Climate Week (CW4) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The event, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the collaborative efforts aimed at addressing pressing climate issues, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ana Toni revealed that one significant aspect of the plan focuses on the energy, industry, and transport sectors, with a direct link to achieving electrification targets. She emphasized that the plan includes 15 acceleration initiatives specifically designed to advance these electrification goals.

Ana Toni further highlighted the progress in Brazil's energy sector, noting that renewable energy already accounts for 50 percent of the country's energy production.
