Baku: The Baku Initiative Group (BIG) has spearheaded global decolonization efforts over the past two years, achieving remarkable impact, said Abbas Abbasov, BIG Executive Director, at the international conference on 'Neocolonialism and Global Inequality' held in Baku.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, over the past two years, the Baku Initiative Group has organized more than 35 international conferences and thematic events, conducted approximately 150 research studies, and published over 40 reports and three books. "We have also submitted alternative reports and statements to the United Nations and its agencies," Abbasov noted.

Abbasov expressed his confidence that working together with independence movements, the Baku Initiative Group would help achieve important progress in decolonizing foreign territories and regions still under colonial rule.
