Baku: The South Caucasus's role in international logistics and trade is growing amid global geopolitical changes, which is increasing the importance of the Middle Corridor, Georgian economist Vakhtang Charaya said in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan and Georgia, positioned at the center of this route, are gaining new opportunities amid the transformation of global supply chains.

The expert noted that the current international situation, including military conflicts in various regions, is increasing interest in alternative and stable transport routes. Effective coordination between the two countries not only allows for economic benefits but also facilitates the development of broader international projects, Charaya emphasized. He assessed that the Middle Corridor is becoming a key instrument for ensuring economic connectivity between Europe and Asia.
