Tbilisi: The creation of a regional body and a functioning regional mechanism that brings together Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia has been proposed by Georgian political analyst and academic Badri Nachkebia. Addressing journalists, Nachkebia emphasized the growing importance of security issues in the South Caucasus amid recent global developments.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Badri Nachkebia highlighted that Georgia values its strategic partnerships with neighboring countries Armenia and Azerbaijan, especially with Azerbaijan. He noted that the evolving Azerbaijan-Armenia relations are entering a new phase of normalization, which could positively influence economic and political relations across the South Caucasus.

Nachkebia suggested that all three states should consider joining energy projects, which have seen significant cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia. These developments underscore the region's role as a strategic bridge between Europe and Asia, enhancing the strategic importance of the involved countries. He expressed optimism that Armenia joining this process would not introduce any negative aspects.

He further noted the potential benefits of establishing a regional body that encompasses the entire South Caucasus. Such a body could support the development of relations, particularly in the economic field, through the establishment of a functioning regional mechanism. This would be advantageous not only for the individual countries but for the region as a whole, enhancing cooperation and stability.
