Baku: Joint infrastructure and energy projects between Azerbaijan and Italy create the foundation for long-term stability in the region, Italian expert Domenico Letizia said in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Letizia noted that Italy acts as a bridge between Europe and the Caspian region, ensuring the efficient flow of energy resources and goods between these regions. In this context, new transport routes, as well as projects to build underwater power lines, play an important role.

The expert highlighted that such initiatives enable the direct integration of the Caspian region's resources, including green energy, into the European energy system. He believes that the development of these projects not only contributes to economic growth but also fosters the formation of sustainable ties between the countries.

He emphasized that joint work on critical infrastructure strengthens the interdependence of states, which, in turn, creates a solid foundation for long-term peace, stability, and expanded international cooperation.
