Expert: Middle Corridor Opens New Opportunities for Bulgaria and Azerbaijan

Baku: The development of the Middle Corridor creates new opportunities for expanding trade and economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, said Bulgarian international relations expert Stanislav Bachev in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this route is part of the global Belt and Road initiative and reflects the transformation of the global trade and logistics architecture. Bulgaria, the expert believes, can play an important role in distributing Chinese goods to Europe, serving as a key link in this direction.

Promising areas of cooperation between the two countries, according to Bachev, include the chemical industry, the food industry, household appliances, and the military-industrial sector.

"Azerbaijan can act as an important intermediary and transit point, facilitating expanded access for Bulgarian products to regional markets, including the European Union," he said, adding that the development of mutual investment and trade schemes, including direct deliveries and flexible logistics models, creates the basis for a long-term and sustainable partnership between the two countries.
