Sumgayit: An explosion at a workshop in Sumgayit injured a male individual born in 1997, who was subsequently hospitalized at the Sumgayit Medical Center’s Emergency Hospital on May 7 at around 22:30.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the incident took place at a metal processing workshop located in the “Inshaatchilar” residential complex. The explosion was caused by the blast of a stove, resulting in injuries to Aghaselim Jalilov, who was treated for first-degree thermal burns to the head, neck, and torso. After receiving necessary medical assistance in the Emergency Department, Jalilov was discharged for outpatient treatment at home upon signing a written agreement.

Authorities have commenced an investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the explosion.
