Export of Azerbaijani gas to Europe in 2023 will increase by 1 billion cubic meters

The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts an increase in gas supplies from Azerbaijan to the EU countries via the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP) by almost 1 bcm in 2023.

 

“It is expected that in 2023 the supply of Azerbaijani gas via TAP will increase by less than 1 bcm,” the IEA report says.

 

In 2022 Azerbaijan increased gas exports to 22.3 bcm, deliveries to Europe amounted to 11.4 bcm (+39%).

 

According to the forecasts of the Azerbaijani government, in 2023 the export of Azerbaijani gas is planned at the level of 24.5 bcm, of which about 12 bcm – to Europe.

 

Currently, buyers of Azerbaijani gas in Europe are Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania
