Export revenues of Azercosmos drop

In the first quarter of this year, the Space Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos) exported satellite telecommunication services worth USD 4.7 million to 47 countries of the world, APA-Economics reports citing the April issue of “Export Review” of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).

According to the report, this indicator is 7 countries more and USD 0.7 million (13%) less than the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azercosmos’ income from service exports made up 78% of its total income.

In March of 2024, Azercosmos exported services worth USD 1.7 million to 43 countries of the world.

In January-March 2024, in the top five of the export of satellite telecommunications services, the United Kingdom with USD 1.5 million, Luxembourg with USD 966.8 thousand, UAE with USD 339.8 thousand, Pakistan with USD 208.6 thousand and Germany with USD 197.4 thousand ranked.
