Baku: Cybersecurity has become one of the main priorities of state policy as digital development accelerates in Azerbaijan. The country is making consistent efforts in this field to strengthen national capabilities, expand professional training, and build a cybersecurity ecosystem, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan's Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) Farid Osmanov told journalists during the 7th graduation ceremony of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC).

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Osmanov stated that the "Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development" covering the 2026-2028 period, approved by the President of Azerbaijan on February 27 this year, designated cybersecurity as one of its priority areas: "Within the framework of the Action Plan, establishing a national cybersecurity ecosystem, strengthening activities in this field, and developing human capital are of special significance. As digital transformation accelerates, cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important and has become an integral part of state policy."

He noted that the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, which has been operating for four years, trains highly qualified specialists in collaboration with the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. "To date, the ACC has trained more than 420 cybersecurity specialists in offensive and defensive cybersecurity disciplines and introduced them to the labor market. More than 90 percent of our graduates are employed in the public and private sectors. This once again demonstrates the effectiveness of the program and its alignment with labor market demands."
