Brussels:Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Center for Analysis of International Relations and Multiculturalism, emphasized the effectiveness of direct negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia in achieving peace, during his address at the Azerbaijan-EU Think Tank Forum in Brussels. The forum was co-organized by the AIR Center and the Egmont Royal Institute for International Relations.

He highlighted the impact of landmines on Azerbaijan and stressed the importance of EU support for post-conflict reconstruction efforts.

The Chairman stressed the critical role of economic cooperation and infrastructure projects, such as the TRIPP project, which aims to reconnect mainland Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan and enhance regional transport routes. Additionally, he expressed hope for increased EU participation in developing the Middle Corridor, emphasizing the importance of connectivity for regional stability.
Energy collaboration between Azerbaijan and the EU was another focal point of Shafiyev's remarks. He highlighted Azerbaijan's position as a dependable gas supplier and the potential for expanded cooperation in hydrocarbons, renewable energy, and green electricity corridors.
