BAKU — A tragic incident occurred on the Deep Offshore Platform #4 of the “28 May” Oil-Gas Production Enterprise, part of the AzNeft Production Union, where a fire broke out on September 2, 2024, leading to the death of a worker, according to the AzNeft Production Union.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, fire-fighting ships quickly responded to the scene, successfully containing and extinguishing the blaze in a short period. However, the incident claimed the life of Islamov Rafig Isa, an employee born in 1960 who worked at the Specialized Oil-Mining Special Equipment Department #1 of AzNeft PU.
