The President of International Automobile Federation (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile – FIA), former rally racer Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who visited Azerbaijan within the framework of the 8th stage of the Formula-1 world championship – the Azerbaijan Grand-Prix, has met with the President of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF), Anar Alakbarov.

During the meeting, the sides noted that close cooperation had been established between the FIA and AAF and a number of projects had been implemented, and discussed issues of expanding cooperation. Information was also provided on the work done and the projects implemented in order to develop automobile sport in Azerbaijan and the projects of the AAF on traffic safety and automobile tourism were discussed.

Then, the FIA president visited the Baku city track to familiarize himself with the preparations for the Formula-1 Azerbaijan Grand-Prix on the field.

It was stated that the Baku track is fully ready for the race at the meeting with the participation of the President of the AAF, Anar Alakbarov, and the Executive Director of the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, Arif Rahimov.
