Baku:Timur Turlov, the newly elected President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), has arrived in Baku.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during his visit, Turlov met with Mahir Mammadov, President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF).

The discussions between Turlov and Mammadov focused on the development of chess in Azerbaijan, Baku's experience in hosting international tournaments, and future cooperation opportunities between FIDE and the ACF.

At the end of the meeting, Mammadov presented Turlov with a keepsake to commemorate the visit.
