Zurich: FIFA has dismissed Belgium's challenge over the eligibility of US forward Folarin Balogun after the world soccer governing body decided to suspend his one-game ban ahead of the World Cup round-of-16 game with the United States, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the appeal was deemed inadmissible as FIFA ruled that the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) is not a party to the proceedings and, therefore, lacks the standing to appeal the decision. The decision ensures that Balogun will be available for selection in the crucial upcoming match.
