Baku: FIFA President Gianni Infantino stressed the importance of lifting the ban on Russia: APA reports. He touched on this issue in an interview with SkyNews. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Infantino stated, "I have always been against bans and sanctions. I think they do not bring anything positive. On the contrary, they cause more hatred to spread." He further mentioned that the ban on Russia has not achieved anything and only encourages hatred and anger. It is noteworthy that FIFA imposed a ban on Russia following the commencement of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022.
