Financial flow in Azerbaijan increased by more than AZN 4 bln. in Q2


In the second quarter of 2024, the financial flow in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 26 billion 451 million, which is 18,8% or AZN 4 bln. 180 mln. more than in the same period last year, APA-Economics reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

In the second quarter of last year, the financial flow in the country amounted to AZN 22 bln. 271 mln.

According to the Central Bank, in the second quarter of 2024, the economic activities with the highest share in total payment inflows were public administration and defense (27.9%), wholesale and retail trade (15.1%), and construction (11.7%). The economic activities that contributed the most to the increase in inflows compared to the same period last year were public administration and defense (an increase of AZN 1.6 bln.) and construction (an increase of AZN 722.8 mln.).
