The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has published a report on the analysis of inter-sectoral financial flows at the end of the second quarter of 2023. According to the document, in the first half of this year, Azerbaijan's financial flows (total amount of payments made) totalled AZN 48.4 billion, which is up by 7.6% from the same period of the last year. In the second quarter alone, the country's financial flow totalled AZN 29.2 billion, 6.5% more than a year ago. At that, 27% of the half-yearly payments, or AZN 13 billion, came from the public administration and defence sectors. In the reviewed period, payments were made in wholesale and retail trade by AZN 6.8 billion, construction by AZN 5.9 billion, mining by AZN 4.3 billion, manufacturing by AZN 4.2 billion, financial and insurance activities by AZN 3 billion, transport and warehousing by AZN 2.4 billion and other sectors by AZN 8.8 billion. -0-
