Baku: The “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a fire at a private rehabilitation center owned by a citizen located in the 52nd neighborhood of Sumgayit city, APA reports. In response to the information, forces from the Sumgayit City Fire Department of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Sumgayit Regional Center were immediately deployed to the area.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, thanks to the quick intervention of the firefighters, the fire on the third floor of the three-story building was extinguished in a short time without spreading to other floors. As a result of the fire, the third floor of the building, made of wooden structures, was burned over an area of 180 square meters, along with its contents, out of a total building area of 540 square meters. The first and second floors of the building were protected from the fire, and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
A fire has occurred at the Narcological Rehabilitation Center in Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit, APA’s reporter at the scene reports. The State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has deployed forces and equipment to the area. The fire has been contained, and the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed APA that firefighting efforts are ongoing at the building near Sumgayit City Hospital No. 2.
