Fire Erupts in Khirdalan Residential Complex, Prompt Evacuation Ensues

Khirdalan: A fire broke out in the basement of the ‘AAAF Park’ residential complex in Khirdalan city of Azerbaijan, APA reports citing Press Service of Ministry of Emergency Situations. The ‘112’ hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about the incident, which occurred in the basement technical room of an eleven-story residential building.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, units from the State Fire Protection Service and the Special Risk Rescue Service were immediately dispatched to the scene. The blaze started in the electrical meters located in the technical room. Firefighters acted promptly and brought the fire under control in a short period of time, successfully preventing it from spreading to apartments or other parts of the building.

As a precaution, 15 residents, including three children, were safely evacuated by emergency personnel. Firefighters also managed to protect the communication lines passing through the shaft, vehicles parked in the basement, and apartment
s from being affected by the flames.

Importantly, no casualties or injuries were reported as a result of the fire. Authorities have not yet released information on the cause of the fire, but relevant agencies are expected to conduct an investigation.
