Measures on preventing the spread of fires in forests and surrounding forest areas in the northern region of the Republic and their extinguishing are underway, Azerbaijani MES told APA.

The fire broke out in the surrounding forest area in Tengealti village of Guba region was completely extinguished by preventing it from spreading to the nearby forest massif thanks to the conducted operative measures.
