First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has congratulated the Azerbaijani athletes who made achievements at Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games.

In a post on her Instagram page, the First Vice-President said: “Azerbaijan has completed its participation in Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games! Orkhan Aslanov and Lamiya Valiyeva, who set a Paralympic record, won the next gold medals. I sincerely congratulate all the winners! I thank our athletes! You have decently represented Azerbaijan! By demonstrating high skills, determination and purposefulness, you have lived up to all your fans` hopes! We have 14 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals! Thank you very much for that! I wish each of you the best of health, joy, happiness, new victories and achievements!”
