Five Detained Over 2015 Armed Attack on Fenerbahce Bus

Baku: Five people have been detained in connection with the armed attack on Fenerbahce's bus, Trkiye's Justice Minister Akin Grlek said, NTV reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the investigation into the attack was reopened in May this year on the instructions of Justice Minister Akin Grlek. The incident, which took place on April 4, 2015, saw the Fenerbahce football club's bus come under attack while traveling on the Rize-Trabzon road. At the time, the bus was carrying team members to Trabzon Airport after a match against Caykur Rizespor.

The attack resulted in injuries to the bus driver, who was subsequently hospitalized. The recent detentions mark a significant development in the case, which has remained unresolved for over eight years. The reopening of the investigation reflects ongoing efforts to bring those responsible to justice.
