Baku: Five individuals listed on the international wanted list have been extradited from Russia to Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the extradition was executed following the Convention of October 7, 2002, on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Matters. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation granted the extradition requests for Azerbaijani citizens Emil Faiq Kazimov, Jabbar Mammadraza Mammadov, Habil Huseyn Aliyev, Fuad Ilgar Babayev, and Kenan Ali Guliyev.

Emil Kazimov faces allegations of fraud resulting in large-scale damage, while Jabbar Mammadov is accused of repeated fraud. Habil Aliyev is suspected of theft executed by a group of individuals with prior collusion, involving unlawful entry into a storage facility. Fuad Babayev and Kenan Guliyev are alleged to have committed hooliganism as a group, involving the use of weapons or objects used as weapons, and were involved in violence against a victim. Following these charges, the suspects were declared wanted after evading the investigation.

The individuals were apprehended within the Russian Federation and subsequently transported to Azerbaijan by a special convoy under the supervision of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
