FM Bayramov: Cities are Becoming Strategic Platforms for Regional Cooperation and Sustainable Development

Baku: 'In the modern era, cities are no longer just places where people live and work, but are also becoming strategic hubs at the intersection of diplomacy, trade, infrastructure, technology, climate action, and regional cooperation,' said Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during the event titled 'Rebuilding Cities and Regional Cooperation: How Reconstruction Can Transform Cities into Engines of Regional Connectivity and Shared Prosperity?' held within the framework of WUF13.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Bayramov emphasized that the future of sustainable development will depend on cities being successfully connected to each other not only physically, but also economically, digitally, institutionally, and socially. The minister highlighted the importance of cities in fostering regional cooperation and sustainable growth, suggesting that cities play a crucial role in driving forward the agenda for connectivity and prosperity on a regional scale.
