In the first half of this year the legal process of termination of activity of 352 companies and enterprises has been completed in Azerbaijan. The number of liquidated companies has grown by 43.6% as compared to the same period of the last year, the State Statistics Committee reports. In the reviewed period, 26 companies with foreign capital were liquidated. The same number of foreign investors terminated their activities in January-June 2022. It ought to be noted that 850 companies with 100% foreign capital and another 124 companies with mixed capital were established in Azerbaijan this year. In the first half of the year, 76 state-owned companies and enterprises were liquidated, twice as many as in the appropriate period of the last year. According to the SSC, the bulk of the liquidated companies were involved in such economic sectors as trade - 77, manufacturing - 35, construction - 30, agriculture and fisheries - 19, transport - 13, ICT - 10, etc.-08B-.
